Chelsea’s Marko Marin joins Seville on season-long loan.
Chelsea Football Club confirm that they have reached an agreement with Sevilla Fútbol Club for the season-long loan of Marko Marin, subject to the completion of legal documentation and a medical.
The German international arrived at Chelsea last summer from Werder Bremen, but after some impressive displays on tour in Americ, in which he grabbed his first Chelsea goal on his debut against Seattle Sounders, a hamstring injury meant he had to wait until late September for a competitive bow.
His first league start came in January in the 1-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers, with a first competitive goal following in February’s 4-1 win over Wigan Athletic at Stamford Bridge. In total during 2012/13, Marin, who is 24, appeared 16 times.
