Chelsea 1 0 Manchester United
Morata (55′) FT

Alvaro Morata scored his first goal since September as Chelsea deservedly beat Manchester United to move a point behind the Red Devils in the Premier League.

Morata powerfully headed in his eighth goal for the club 10 minutes after the break as the Blues recorded a third consecutive league win.

David de Gea kept out further efforts from Morata and Eden Hazard as Chelsea looked to add to their lead.

United forward Marcus Rashford flashed an effort wide in the closing stages before substitute Marouane Fellaini’s close-range strike was saved by Thibaut Courtois.

Chelsea remain fourth while second-placed United trail leaders Manchester City, who beat Arsenal 3-1 earlier, by eight points.

Manchester City 3 1 Arsenal
De Bruyne (19′), Agüero (50′ pen), Jesus (74′) FT Lacazette (65′)

Manchester City extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to eight points with another emphatic win.

Pep Guardiola’s side made it nine straight wins in the league with a convincing triumph over Arsenal, which took them further away from nearest pursuers Manchester United.

Goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero – who was honoured for becoming City’s all-time leading scorer in midweek – and sub Gabriel Jesus gave City victory.

Sub Alexandre Lacazette pulled one back for Arsenal in the 65 minute to make it 2-1 and give the visitors hope, but a goal from Jesus nine minutes later saw City seal the win.

Tottenham Hotspur 1 0 Crystal Palace
Son Heung-min (64′) FT

Heung-Min Son became the top Asian goalscorer in Premier League history as Tottenham ground out another win at Wembley.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side had out-classed Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid in North London in midweek. But Roy Hodgson’s gameplan had more success in containing the Tottenham threat and Wilf Zaha missed a glorious chance to give the Premier League’s bottom club a shock lead before Son slotted home the 64th-minute winner from the edge of the box.

Everton 3 2 Watford
Niasse (67′), Calvert-Lewin (74′), Baines (90’+1 pen) FT Richarlison (46′), Kabasele (64′)

Everton held on to earn their first win in five matches as Watford threw away a two-goal lead and Tom Cleverley missed an injury-time penalty for the visitors.

In a remarkable second half at Goodison Park which lasted 58 minutes, Cleverley had the chance to snatch a point but put his weak spot-kick wide.

Stoke City 2 2 Leicester City
Shaqiri (39′), Crouch (73′) FT Iborra (33′), Mahrez (60′)

Peter Crouch stepped off the bench to bury a late header and deny new Leicester boss Claude Puel back-to-back wins.

Riyad Mahrez, the 2016 PFA player of the year, earlier put over a 33rd minute corner which led to Vicente Iborro’s opener.

Mahrez then scored with a left-foot finish in the 60th minute after Xherdan Shaqiri levelled before the break.

Potters keeper Jack Butland arguably should have saved it but it went under him infront of England boss Gareth Southgate in the stands.

Huddersfield Town 1 0 West Bromwich Albion
van La Parra (44′), Schindler ( 57′) FT

Rajiv van La Parra’s wonder strike saw 10-man Huddersfield Town beat West Bromwich Albion 1-0 at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday.

The hosts opened the scoring a minute before half-time when Van La Parra curled an unstoppable 35-yard effort into the top right-hand corner of the net, the winger’s first goal since March

Newcastle United 0 1 AFC Bournemouth
FT S Cook (90’+2)

Steve Cook’s stoppage-time header handed Bournemouth a 1-0 victory at Newcastle after Dwight Gayle saw a first-half strike controversially chalked off.

Defender Cook powered home from a corner in the second added minute to hand Eddie Howe’s visitors a third Premier League win of the season.

Southampton 0 1 Burnley
FT Vokes (81′)

Burnley’s stunning start to the season continued with an impressive victory at Southampton.

The Clarets have now lost just one of their six games on the road this term with substitute Sam Vokes heading a late winner.

Southampton had controlled most of the game with Nick Pope making a stunning save to deny Maya Yoshida.

But the introduction of Vokes and Ashley Barnes changed the course of the game.

Swansea City 0 1 Brighton and Hove Albion
FT Murray (29′)

Brighton extended their unbeaten run to four matches with victory at Swansea City, who slipped into the relegation zone with a fifth defeat from six home Premier League games this season.

The visitors were gifted their goal as Federico Fernandez ducked out of the way of a cross, allowing Glenn Murray to nudge the ball in with his thigh.

Having been booed off at half-time, the Swans at least mustered a handful chances after the interval, with Tammy Abraham having one shot well saved by Mat Ryan and substitute Luciano Narsingh hitting the crossbar.

But they were undermined by a combination of their own unimaginative attacking and Brighton’s disciplined defending.

West Ham United 1 4 Liverpool
Lanzini (55′) FT Salah (21′, 75′), Matip (24′), Oxlade-Chamberlain (56′)

Liverpool produced the “perfect” counter-attacking performance to thrash West Ham at London Stadium on Saturday, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp said.

Mohamed Salah scored twice, while Joel Matip and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also netted in a 4-1 win.

The Reds, who are sixth in the Premier League, have now scored 10 goals in their last three games in all competitions.
