Aston Villa have won only once in 29 games against Manchester United. Villa’s 1-0 triumph at Old Trafford in December 2009 was their first victory against United in 25 league and cup matches.

United’s last Premier League defeat at Villa Park came on the opening day of the 1995/96 season. They are unbeaten in 15 subsequent visits – although the last three have all been drawn. Villa led 2-0 after 80 minutes last season but Federico Macheda and Nemanja Vidic earned a point for United.
According to Infostrada, this will be Sir Alex Ferguson’s 69th Premier League game against a former player-turned-manager. He has only lost five of the previous 68 encounters and is unbeaten in the last 28 since a 4-3 defeat at Mark Hughes’s Blackburn in February 2006.
