Head-to-head
Stoke are unbeaten in their last five home matches against Leicester in all competitions, winning four of them.
These teams met in the FA Cup third round last season at the Britannia Stadium, with Stoke claiming a 2-1 victory.
The last time these teams met in the top flight was in January 1985, with the match ending in a goalless draw at Filbert Street.
Stoke City
Stoke were unbeaten at home last season against the three promoted clubs (W2, D1).
The Potters only lost three league matches at the Britannia in 2013-14. They started this campaign with a defeat at home to Aston Villa.
They have not lost consecutive home league games since April 2013.
Since the start of the 2013-14 season, only Chelsea and Liverpool have scored more than once against Stoke at the Britannia Stadium.
Mark Hughes’ side have lost just three of their last 14 Premier League matches.
Leicester City
Leicester are still awaiting their first top-flight victory since April 2004, although their opening three games have been against sides who finished in the top five and they have drawn two of them.
The Foxes are yet to take the lead in a Premier League game this season. They came from behind against both Everton and Arsenal to earn a point.
Nigel Pearson’s side have scored in 33 of their last 34 league games, only failing to find the net against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. That was their first away defeat in the calendar year.
Leonardo Ulloa has scored two goals in three games since joining for £8m from Brighton.
