Hull City 2-0 Millwall – FA Cup – Highlights

Hull reached the fifth round of the FA Cup for the first time since 1989 with victory over League One Millwall.

Michael Turner headed Hull in front from Andy Dawson’s free-kick but Marc Laird missed with a great chance for Millwall on the stroke of half-time.

Hull keeper Tony Warner had earlier stumbled as he tried to control a backpass and only just managed to fall on the ball with Izale McLeod lurking.

Ian Ashbee sealed the victory with a right-foot shot late on.

It was a match marred by sporadic crowd trouble inside the KC Stadium, while the tie itself was rarely inspiring.

The two sides are separated by 39 league places but there was little between them on the day.

Phil Brown’s Hull won for the first time in five home fixtures and, having lost five of their previous seven games in all competitions, it was a welcome victory for the Tigers boss even if the Premier League remains his top priority.

Brown showed that the Cup is of secondary importance to him this season by making six changes from the team that lost to Arsenal in the league.

Warner, a former Lions player, made his debut in goal while striker Manucho, on loan from Manchester United, made his first start and left-back Dawson returned after missing two months through injury.
