Petr Cech retires from Czech Republic duty
Arsenal and Czech Republic goalkeeper Petr Cech has announced his international retirement.
The 34-year-old is his country’s most capped player with 121 appearances, having made his debut in 2002.
“When I was a kid, my ultimate dream was to play for the national team at least once, Having done it so many times makes me really proud.” Ref: arsenal.com
While 2006 proved to be his only chance to appear in the World Cup finals, Cech would go on to play for his country at Euro 2012 and Euro 2016.
